Happy birthday! I'm a diasporic Fil-Am and I appreciate your writing and research as I work to deepen and remember my connection to the motherland. Thank you for your work and your voice.
Hello and happy birthday! Sharing this boardgame I was making during my masters program in Spain(my field is in art, design and tech). Called it Pulô: A Kapwa-inspired Board Game Intervention. Malaking motivation at inspiration ang nakuha ko mula sa posts at essays mo, salamat! More power 🌻✊
Happy birthday carl! Lots of gems in here. I feel like i became conscious in my early 30s, so you're a decade ahead of me :) I love "i become who I have always been" Looking forward to meeting in the Philippines!
Happy birthday! I'm currently a third year communication student. Last semester, your posts here at substack and instagram helped me better understand Sikolohiyang Pilipino on a deeper level. It's under our Communication Theory class btw. Maraming salamat po! 🥹🌻
Interesting... how is it applied in Communication Theory? The only intersection I am familiar about is Dr. Melba Maggay's paper on indigenous communication styles. Would love to learn other ways that it is applied!
Happy birthday! I met you at BLTX earlier this year where I purchased your zines, Notes on Indigenous Psychology and Sikolohiya ng Kababalaghan - both really good reads, and that's how I came across your blog. I appreciate the work you've put out so far because it's helping me shape what research interests I would like to pursue now that I've started my master's. My program adviser happens to teach Sikopil at graduate level if I'm not mistaken, so this post is giving me more reason to explore the world of social and indigenous psychology :-)

Amazing, thank you for sharing!
Happy birthday, Carl! Your example as a scholar and advocate of Filipino spirituality is inspiring!

Great to hear, and welcome to the field! Good luck!
